We are seeking a highly motivated Scientist to join our research team in developing advanced optical measurement systems for semiconductor manufacturing and inspection. The successful candidate will contribute to the design, development, integration, and validation of customized optical metrology systems, working across multidisciplinary areas including optics, precision instrumentation, automation, software development, and data analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and integrate customized optical measurement systems for semiconductor inspection and metrology.
- Develop system control software, automate data acquisition, and perform system calibration, testing, and validation.
- Analyze measurement data, optimize system performance, and develop algorithms for defect detection and characterization.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and industrial partners to deliver innovative optical inspection solutions.
- Prepare technical reports, publications, and project documentation while supporting technology transfer activities.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Optical Engineering, Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Hands-on experience in optical instrumentation, precision measurement, or semiconductor inspection systems.
- Proficiency in scientific programming (e.g., Python, MATLAB, C/C++, or LabVIEW) and hardware control.
- Strong analytical, experimental, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in developing and integrating optical characterization or metrology systems, with knowledge of techniques such as microscopy imaging, interferometry, phase imaging.
- Knowledge of image processing, computer vision, or AI-based inspection methods for optical inspection and measurement.
- Familiarity with optical design software (e.g., Zemax), precision motion control, and laboratory or industrial automation systems.
