Assistant R&D Engineer (Training Provided) - West - VTTO

Our client is a global manufacturer specializing in advanced materials for vacuum coating and surface engineering applications, supporting industries such as semiconductors, optics, and precision manufacturing. Due to their current expansion plan, they are looking for Assistant R&D Engineer to support manufacturing excellence and operational improvements. They are located in the (West) – easily accessible.

Responsibilities:

• Support the development and optimisation of manufacturing processes, equipment and materials for new products and advanced manufacturing applications.
• Assist in new product development activities, including process trials, material evaluation, technical investigations and implementation of new manufacturing concepts.
• Support engineering projects involving cost analysis, cost reduction initiatives, productivity improvement and process optimisation.
• Assist with project coordination and documentation, including BOM, part numbers, process flows and related engineering records through SAP and NCC systems.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, customers and suppliers on technical requirements, development activities and project-related matters.

Requirements:

• Diploma, Bachelor's Degree or Professional Degree in Materials Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Basic understanding of process development, material evaluation and manufacturing principles, with exposure to metals, alloys, ceramics or similar engineering materials.
• Familiarity with SAP/NCC systems, particularly BOM, part numbers and process flows, is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel with basic knowledge of ISO standards and engineering documentation.
