Spray Painter

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Sand vehicle body panels using both power and hand tools to achieve smooth surfaces
• Perform body filler (putty) application and panel beating to repair dents and surface damages
• Mask non-paintable areas with tape and protective materials before spraying
• Apply primer, base coat, and top coat using a spray gun
• Mix and match paint colors or use pre-mixed paint as required
• Sand between coats and perform necessary touch-ups to ensure a smooth, high-quality finish
• Polish painted surfaces and apply rustproofing and protective sealants
• Occasionally create or apply decals, artwork, or signage to vehicle surfaces
• Follow all safety protocols, including use of PPE and safe work practices when working at height

Job Requirements:

• Relevant experience in automotive spray painting and body filler work
• Skilled in spray gun operation, sanding, and surface preparation
• Responsible, hardworking, and physically fit
• Able to work in a paint shop environment (exposure to fumes and dust, with ventilation)
• Must comply with all company safety policies
• Willing to work overtime or assist during urgent repairs when required
