Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering smooth and efficient service to ensure operational excellence in the outlet
• Maintain consistent adherence to restaurant standards for quality and service
• Provide excellent customer service by promptly taking orders and delivering items without delay
• Apply thorough knowledge of the restaurant menu to inform and upsell to guests
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of both front and back of house areas
• Prepare mise-en-place according to operational needs and ensure tables are cleaned and reset after each course
• Report operational issues to the Service/Operations Manager and follow up on solutions or actions
• Participate actively in training sessions to improve product knowledge and service skills
• Assist in monthly inventory checks of operating equipment and supplies
• Collaborate effectively with team members to support a positive and efficient work environment

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in Hospitality or Tourism Management is desirable
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Captain or Supervisor in F&B; candidates with less experience may be considered for Food Runner roles
• Strong communication skills with the ability to solve problems proactively
• Attention to detail in service delivery and operational tasks
• Team player with good team-building skills and ability to communicate across all employee levels
• Personable, discreet, reliable, and diplomatic in guest and team interactions
• Positive, motivated, and passionate attitude with a willingness to learn multiple skills
• Good personal grooming and presentation
• High degree of integrity and adaptability to changing environments
• Willingness to work weekends and public holidays
