Mechanical Design Engineer (Tooling & Molding injection)

Our client is a well-established MNC specializing in advanced semiconductor and manufacturing technology solutions. They are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their R&D Manufacturing team to develop high-precision mechanical modules for advanced semiconductor packaging applications.

Working Hours:

• Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:30pm (Flexible Working Hours)

Job Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-precision mechanical modules and tooling for semiconductor applications
• Create 3D models, perform design validation, and optimize designs for manufacturability, reliability, and cost
• Conduct engineering analysis including force, thermal, and vibration simulations
• Collaborate with R&D, Process, and Manufacturing teams to support new product development
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product performance and manufacturing efficiency

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related discipline
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in the precision engineering, tooling, plastic injection moulding, or semiconductor industry
• Strong experience in plastic injection moulding and tooling design is highly preferred
• Proficient in CAD software such as SolidWorks, Solid Edge, Pro-E, or AutoCAD
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
