We are a growing group of companies with businesses in restaurant operations. As we continue to expand, we are looking for a committed, responsible and proactive Senior Accounts Executive to join our Finance team.
Reporting to the Accounts Manager, you will support the finance function across multiple entities and play an important role in ensuring the smooth operation of the department. This role offers the opportunity to gain broad exposure to multi-entity accounting while contributing to the continued growth of the business.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Accounts Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the Finance team.
- Handle full sets of accounts for a portfolio of group companies.
- Perform and review month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare monthly management reports and supporting schedules.
- Review debtor, creditor, bank and intercompany reconciliations.
- Prepare GST returns and ensure timely statutory submissions.
- Prepare audit schedules and coordinate with external auditors.
- Assist in corporate tax computations and liaise with external tax agents.
- Maintain fixed asset schedules and accounting records.
- Provide guidance and support to accounts staff, and review accounting work when required.
- Assist in improving accounting processes and internal controls.
- Perform other accounting and finance duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience, including handling full sets of accounts.
- Good knowledge of GST, month-end closing and financial reporting.
- Experience with XERO accounting software.
- Responsible, organised and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience providing guidance to junior staff or reviewing accounting work will be an advantage.
- Experience in the F&B, retail, hospitality or multi-entity environment will be an advantage.
