Senior Engineer, Package and Steel Outfit

Job Summary

Independently develop hull outfitting detail design to comply with Class and Technical specification requirements within assigned schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for delivering the respective project design drawing and document according to project plan schedule. Shall take on project lead role.
• Review external designer’s pre-contract technical specifications, general arrangement and drawing lists. Ensure all information required for detail design development is available.
• Liaise with Owner and Classification Society for the specific design requirement compliance, review, and approval.
• Create the hull outfitting equipment sourcing technical specifications for cranes, deck machinery, outfitting, etc.
• Conduct a technical assessment of the offer made by the seller.
• Liaise with suppliers and contractors for interpretation of the drawings and specifications.
• Prepare arrangement &detail outfitting drawings.
• Develop and update weight report (weight and center of gravity).
• Coordinates with detail designer / production designer and checks their processes and output.
• Communicate with the person in charge of production on trouble shooting and visiting on-site if needed.
• Safety and architectural outfitting coverage is an advantage

Required Education & Qualifications

• Degree in relevant discipline
• Familiar with AutoCAD/ Microsoft Office/ AVEVA/ Cadmatic or similar
• Good communication and analytical skills
