Finance Director
A well-established organisation is seeking an experienced Finance Director, responsible for the organisation’s financial stewardship, sustainability and governance, while providing strategic financial advice to the CEO, senior leadership team and Board. The successful candidate will also oversee treasury, investments, finance transformation and key corporate functions, playing a critical role in strengthening financial resilience and supporting long-term organisational objectives.
Some of the key responsibilities will include:
• Provide strategic financial leadership and forward-looking analysis to the CEO, senior leadership team and Board, supporting financial strategy, resource allocation, sustainability and key business decisions.
• Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning processes, including scenario planning and analysis of financial and operational performance against approved plans.
• Oversee financial reporting, controllership, audit, tax, compliance and internal controls, ensuring the integrity, accuracy and timeliness of financial information and effective management of financial risks.
• Drive the finance transformation roadmap, including ERP implementation and optimisation, process automation, management reporting, data analytics, SOP redesign and enhancement of financial controls and processes.
• Oversee treasury, liquidity, cash flow, reserves and capital management, while supporting investment activities, external fund managers and major capital investment or financing decisions.
• Lead finance-related relationships with external auditors, banks, financial institutions, government agencies and other key stakeholders, while ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory, funding and governance requirements.
• Provide leadership and oversight of administration and procurement, including corporate governance, statutory reporting, tender processes, vendor management and strategic procurement negotiations.
• Build and lead a high-performing finance and corporate services team, strengthening capabilities, succession planning and cross-functional collaboration to support organisation-wide objectives.
To be eligible for this role you will require:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business or a related discipline, with a professional accounting qualification such as CA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent preferred.
• At least 15 years of progressive finance experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a senior finance leadership position within a complex organisation.
• Strong experience across financial governance, budgeting and forecasting, financial reporting, audit and compliance, risk management and internal controls.
• Proven experience engaging with Boards, Finance or Investment Committees and senior stakeholders, with the ability to provide clear financial insights and strategic recommendations.
• Experience overseeing broader corporate functions such as procurement, administration and vendor management would be advantageous, together with exposure to government grants, funding frameworks or regulated environments.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and people leadership skills, with the ability to lead collaboratively, influence senior stakeholders and drive organisation-wide objectives.
