Senior Quality Inspector/Checker

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring product quality throughout the complete manufacturing and delivery process.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform Incoming Quality Control (IQC) inspections based on engineering drawings, technical specifications and customer requirements.
• Conduct dimensional inspections using precision measuring equipment and perform functional check where required
• Read and interpret basic engineering and technical drawings independently
• Evaluate new parts, identify critical inspection checkpoints, and develop Incoming-inspection checklists
• Support secondary manufacturing processes to ensure final products meet quality requirement
• Ensure proper documentation of inspection result and controls of non-conforming products
• Prepare Outgoing inspection reports and maintain quality records in compliance to ISO quality management system
• Liaise with internal departments to facilitate effective communication on quality-related and delivery issues.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inspection methods, and quality management processes.
• Carry out periodic inspection, calibration coordination, maintenance, and housekeeping of inspection tools and equipment
• Perform any other duties or assignment as instructed by the superior

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of quality inspection or QA/QC experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical drawings.
• Experience with dimensional inspection and measurement techniques.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments such as:
• 1. SmartScope Vision Measuring System (preferred)
• 2. Vernier Caliper
• 3. Thickness Gauge
• 4. Micrometer
• 5. Pin Gauges and etc
• Familiar with IQC, IPQC and FQC processes.
• Good understanding of manufacturing quality systems.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality practices is an advantage.
• Basic computer literacy for preparing Inspection reports and Checklist.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday
8:30 AM - 6:00 PM

No regular overtime is required.

However, candidates should be willing to extend working hours during peak periods or when necessary to ensure customer commitments are met.
