Clinical Research Assistant

💰 Salary: $17/hour
📍 Location: Buona Vista
🕒 Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Clinical Research Assistant (Locum) to support the day-to-day operations of clinical studies within a Clinical Research Unit (CRU). This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with an interest in clinical research, healthcare, nursing, or life sciences to gain hands-on experience in a research environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Register and assist clinical trial participants and volunteers during study visits.
• Perform clinical measurements such as vital signs, height, weight, and ECG.
• Support clinical study activities, including meal serving and nutritional assessments.
• Prepare study rooms and ensure all equipment and consumables are ready before study commencement.
• Operate biomedical equipment according to study protocols.
• Assist doctors and nurses during clinical procedures and study activities.
• Perform data entry, verification, and quality checks of paper and electronic study records.
• Support participant screening activities and other assigned clinical research tasks.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of study rooms after study completion.
• Follow standard safety and infection control procedures when handling biological specimens and clinical equipment.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Science, Nursing, Pharmacy, Allied Health, or a related discipline.
• Prior experience in a clinical, healthcare, laboratory, or research environment will be an advantage.
• Comfortable interacting with study participants and working in a patient-facing environment.
