FIRST TEAM FOOTBALL ASSISTANT COACH

JOB SUMMARY
The First Team Assistant Coach will work closely with the Head Coach and other technical staff to support the preparation and performance of the first team.
The role will contribute to the planning and delivery of training sessions, tactical preparation, match analysis, player development and matchday operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Training and Coaching
· Assist the Head Coach in planning, preparing and delivering first-team training sessions.
· Provide coaching and feedback to players during training sessions.
· Monitor player performance, engagement and development during training.
· Assist with the implementation of set-piece training and tactical routines.
· Adapt training activities according to player availability, match schedules and performance requirements.
2. Tactical Preparation
· Assist the Head Coach in developing tactical plans for upcoming matches.
· Analyse the team’s tactical performance and identify areas for improvement.
· Study opposition teams and provide relevant tactical observations and recommendations.
· Contribute to match preparation, including analysis of opposition formations, playing patterns, set pieces, and individual player characteristics.
3. Matchday Responsibilities
· Support the Head Coach and technical staff during matchday operations.
· Assist with pre-matchpreparation, team briefings and tactical instructions.
· Support the coaching team in making tactical observations and adjustments during matches.
· Conduct post-match review and contribute to the evaluation of team performance.
· Maintain professional communication and coordination with the technical team throughout matchday activities.
4. Player Development
· Support the development offirst-team players through individual coaching and performance feedback.
· Monitor player progress and provide regular feedback to the coaching team.
· Support the integration and development of younger players transitioning into the first team.
REQUIREMENTS
Essential Qualifications
· Recognised professional football coaching qualification, preferably AFC A Licence or equivalent recognised coaching qualification.
· Demonstrated experience working in a professional football environment.
· Experience coaching at elite level, including participation in AFC-organised continental club competitions such as the AFC Champions League.
· Strong knowledge of football coaching principles, tactical preparation and player development.
· Good understanding of performance analysis and the use of match footage to support coaching decisions.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
