Senior Executive, Freight Forwarding

Job Summary :
You will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end freight forwarding operations for import/export shipments across all modes (FCL, LCL, rail, sea, air,multimodal), ensuring accurate documentation, compliance with SOPs, and timely execution through effective coordination with internal teams, customers, and external partners. Support assigned organic key accounts by managing shipment exceptions, quotations and RFQs/RFIs, SOP updates, and shipment file closure with validated costings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate end-to-end import/export shipments across all modes (air, sea FCL/LCL, rail, road, multimodal).
- Manage bookings, pre-alerts and shipment tracking; provide timely status updates to customers.
- Prepare and issue accurate shipping documents (e.g., S/I, B/L, DO, permits, LC documents) in line with SOPs.
- Resolve operational issues and exceptions (e.g., DG, OOG, short/over-landed, damages, discrepancies) and escalate when required.
- Liaise with internal teams (BD, Finance, CL, etc.) and external stakeholders (agents, carriers, co-loaders, transporters, POL/POD offices) to ensure smooth execution.
- Support key accounts and organic customers: manage enquiries/quotations (RFQs/RFIs), maintain SOPs, and handle new requests/customer set-ups.
- Ensure billing accuracy (customer invoicing andvendor charges), validate costings, close shipment files and maintain completerecords/filing
Job Requirements:
- Diploma in Logistics/Shipping or a relateddiscipline.
- Minimum 2–3years’ relevant experience in the freight forwarding industry (import/exportoperations).
- Goodunderstanding of freight forwarding operations and supply chain processes.
- Strongcommunication and stakeholder management skills; able to work effectively withpeople at all levels.
- Freight forwarding operations & documentation: end-to-end import/export processes, Incoterms, and accurate shipping documentation (S/I, B/L, DO, permits, LC) in line with SOPs/compliance.
- Shipment planning & issue resolution: bookings, tracking, exception handling (DG/OOG, discrepancies, delays) and effective coordination/communication with customers, carriers, agents, and internal stakeholders.
- Commercial & systems proficiency: quotation/RFQ support, billing and cost validation/file closure, and strong data accuracy using freight/ERP systems and Excel
