Main objectives

The Project management specialist will supportassigned major projects in successful execution from pre-kickoff until finalcommissioning. The role will aim to build strong customer relationships andtrust through professionalism in strong project execution support.

He/She will provide proactive technical supportand engineering advice to internal team members as well as customer projectteams. This will include (but not limited to) engineering drawings reviews, designsupport, material planning and coordination to ensure strong on-time projectexecution per plan.

He/She will be the main end-to-end owner of theassigned projects managing various stakeholders expectations and deliverables,leading regular project meetings, providing timely reports and updates as wellas escalating issues/roadblocks to relevant departments to drive continuousproject progress.

The result of the good efforts from the rolewill be sustained trust in GF solutions and strong positive feedback to ourcapability to not only provide hi-quality products but also world-classcustomer project support.

Main Tasks

Project planning & reporting duties

Support all assigned projects in complete end-to-end in planning and execution activities.

Lead/Participate in pre-sales/kickoff project meetings and provide relevant information required to ensure a strong start to all projects.

Be the key contact engineer for project related issues and provide required solutions to keep project on schedule.

Main coordinator for GF staff and ensure that effective communication exists among the various department involved in projects, as well as ensure resource allocation is efficient and sufficient to complete the project.

Conduct site inspections and provide regular updates to project members on progress. Coordinate needed internal resources to resolve issues timely.

Gatekeeper for GF quality. Report on quality issues and ensure correct installation methods of contractors on-site.

Engineering support, material selection trainings and 3rd party vendors

Be the key GF engineering champion to support in resolving various customer technical enquiries and issues during the project cycle (with internal GF teams supporting as required)

Proactive reviews of customer BOM / selected materials list on accuracy, engineering soundness and support in advising on best possible options to reduce errors, costs and excess materials

Basic engineering drawings review or creation per project needs.

Support in material takeoff services as required.

Evaluation and management of 3rd party vendors when required for project supply (e.g. contractors, fabricators, parts vendors…).

Project materials availability and planning

Create project material delivery schedule with customer project team and drive collections per plan.

Work closely with operations and supply chain on consistent review of materials consumption levels and report in on requirements regularly.

Coordinate delivery requirements with internal operations team.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to secure timely delivery and material supply

Ensure RSS do regular checks and summary on machine & tools conditions.

Report in on machine issues and coordinate needed support with RSS team to ensure quick up-time and customer service levels.

Work proactively with Operations and Supply Chain to review material availability, monitor project schedules and mitigate risks to execution

Key skills competencies and requirements

Requirements:

- Minimum 3-5 years in project design, management, planning or equivalent positions

- Diploma/or Degree in mechanical/chemical engineering

- Prior experience in Microelectronics, Water Treatment, HVAC/Cooling, Data Centre projects would be an advantage

- Able to perform and complete task within tight schedule

- Engineering software experience in Autocad / Plant 3D or REVIT and equivalent

- Strong MS EXCEL and MS Office (Powerpoint / Word) usage skills

Additional skills:

Project Planning and Coordination
Proven ability to manage end-to-end project execution, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure timely resource allocation and communication to keep projects on schedule.

Technical Engineering Support
Strong engineering knowledge to review materials, resolve technical enquiries, support BOM accuracy, and conduct basic drawing reviews to ensure quality and cost-efficiency.

Stakeholder Communication and Leadership
Effective communication skills to act as the main point of contact for project issues, lead kickoff and progress meetings, and facilitate clear information flow among internal teams and customers.

Materials and Equipment Management
Competency in scheduling material deliveries, tracking consumption, coordinating with supply chain and operations teams, and managing tools and machinery maintenance to support seamless project execution.

Quality and Compliance Management
Expertise in monitoring and enforcing quality standards, conducting site inspections, and ensuring correct installation methods by contractors to maintain project integrity.
