C# Developer

Overview

We are seeking a Senior C# / .NET Engineer to join a high performing enterprise technology team supporting applications across various financial operations and products. The team is undergoing a capability uplift and is looking for highly capable senior engineers who can operate independently and deliver cloud-native solutions with minimal supervision.

About the Role

This is a backend-focused engineering role responsible for developing and supporting business-critical trade operations platforms. You will work on both project delivery and BAU support, partnering with business stakeholders to deliver scalable and reliable solutions.

What You'll Do

• Develop and enhance applications using C# and .NET Core
• Build and support cloud-native, containerised applications
• Work with cloud platforms, preferably AWS (EKS), but Azure or GCP experience is also valued
• Deliver new features and enhancements for trade operations systems
• Support and maintain existing production applications
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions
• Troubleshoot issues and drive improvements across the platform
• Participate in code reviews and engineering best practices
• Utilise modern development tooling, including AI-assisted development where appropriate

Must-Have Experience

• 8+ years of software development experience
• Strong hands-on experience with C# and .NET Core
• Experience building backend enterprise applications
• Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Experience with containerised environments and modern deployment practices
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of delivery
• Experience engaging with business stakeholders

Nice-to-Have Experience

• AWS EKS or Kubernetes
• UI / Frontend development experience
• Test Driven Development (TDD)
• Messaging technologies
• AI-assisted development tools
• Financial services, trading, or investment management experience
