Lead Software Engineer (Kotlin / Cloud Platform)

This platform is a critical digital service that plays a key role in supporting trade operations and economic activity. You will contribute to the design, development, and operation of highly available, secure, and scalable systems while working alongside talented engineers and cross-functional stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

As a Lead Software Engineer, you will:

• Design, develop, enhance, and support software products and platform capabilities
• Translate complex business and operational requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Drive software delivery from technical design through development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and production support
• Troubleshoot issues and participate in incident response and service restoration activities
• Identify opportunities to improve system performance, reliability, security, tooling, and development practices
• Advocate technical solutions through data-driven discussions and sound engineering judgement
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, engineers, and business stakeholders
• Mentor and support fellow engineers through knowledge sharing and technical guidance

Requirements

Technical Skills & Experience

• Degree, diploma, or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline
• Significant experience in software engineering, preferably involving complex, enterprise-scale, or high-transaction systems
• Strong software engineering fundamentals across the development lifecycle, including: Software design and architecture; Automated testing; CI/CD practices; Observability and monitoring; Application security
• Experience deploying and operating applications in cloud environments
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies

Preferred Technical Expertise

Candidates may possess experience in one of the following areas:

Full Stack Development

• Kotlin
• ReactJS

• Modern web application development

Backend Engineering

• Advanced Kotlin development
