About this job
- Drive company vehicles to transport construction workers to and from the company's premises, workers' accommodation and construction sites.
- Transport construction materials, tools, equipment and supplies to and from construction sites.
- Load and unload construction materials, equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
- Assist workers and supervisors with the movement and positioning of materials at construction sites.
- Assist with general construction and site-support activities as required.
- Ensure materials are properly secured before transportation.
- Check the condition of the vehicle before use and report any defects or maintenance issues.
- Maintain cleanliness and basic housekeeping of the vehicle and work areas.
- Follow site safety rules, traffic regulations and workplace safety requirements.
- Assist in carrying, shifting and arranging construction materials at the worksite.
- Coordinate with supervisors regarding delivery schedules, site access and transportation requirements.
- Ensure timely transportation of workers, materials and equipment between designated locations.
