Role Overview

This role is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the development, implementation, enhancement and management of enterprise software systems and application solutions supporting business operations across multinational environments.

The candidate will oversee software and application solutions from requirements definition and solution evaluation through development coordination, testing, implementation and deployment. The role also involves monitoring the results and quality of software solutions and projects, coordinating Proof-of-Concept and solution evaluation activities, and providing technical expertise on software and platform enhancements while considering appropriate security, operational and implementation risks.

The role requires strong experience in enterprise application management, application development and enhancement, business and system requirements analysis, solution evaluation, application implementation, technology project governance and coordination across business, technology, development and regional stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the development, implementation and enhancement of enterprise software systems and application solutions supporting business operations
• Coordinate software and application solution requirements, development activities, implementation planning and enhancement initiatives across business and technology functions
• Oversee the evaluation and selection of application solutions based on business requirements, system requirements, technical feasibility, system impact and implementation considerations
• Coordinate business and system requirements analysis, fit-gap assessments, system impact assessments and application enhancement requirements
• Coordinate solution development and application enhancement activities with technology, development, business and regional teams
• Monitor the results, quality, progress and effectiveness of software solutions and application projects implemented across the organisation
• Monitor application requirements, implementation status, issues, deliverables, readiness and stakeholder feedback to support quality and successful solution delivery
• Oversee and coordinate application testing, user acceptance testing, deployment, rollout, business readiness and post-implementation activities
• Support the development and evaluation of Proof-of-Concepts and solution initiatives where required to assess functionality, technical feasibility and business suitability
• Provide technical expertise and application knowledge in the development and enhancement of software and platform features, taking into consideration appropriate security, operational, regulatory and implementation risks
• Coordinate application issues, enhancement requirements and solution delivery between business users, technology and development teams, vendors and overseas stakeholders
• Support application and technology project governance, including implementation monitoring, risk management, change management and issue resolution
• Assess business, operational and regulatory requirements and coordinate the required software and application enhancements
• Support technology transformation, application integration, solution standardisation and continuous improvement initiatives across multinational business environments
• Coordinate the implementation and enhancement of enterprise applications and technology solutions across regional and overseas business units

Job Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in enterprise software applications, application implementation, application enhancement, technology transformation or technology project delivery
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline, or equivalent professional experience
• Strong experience in enterprise software and application implementation, development coordination and application enhancement
• Experience in business and system requirements analysis, fit-gap assessment, system impact assessment and solution evaluation
• Experience coordinating software or application development activities with business, technology and development teams
• Strong understanding of the software and application lifecycle, including requirements, solution development, testing, implementation, deployment and post-implementation support
• Experience monitoring application quality, project progress, implementation issues, risks, deliverables and business readiness
• Experience in solution evaluation, technical feasibility assessment and Proof-of-Concept or solution assessment activities
• Experience in application governance, technology project governance, risk management, change management and process standardisation
• Experience coordinating vendors, technology teams and regional or overseas stakeholders
• Experience working in multinational or cross-border technology and application implementation environments
• Experience with enterprise applications supporting banking, transaction banking, cash management, payments, financial operations or other regulated business environments is advantageous
• Knowledge of payment transformation and ISO 20022 is advantageous
• Experience with technology transformation, RPA, enterprise collaboration platforms, HR applications, e-signature solutions or other enterprise software solutions is advantageous
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, project coordination and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage and coordinate multiple software and application initiatives across business and technical teams
• Strong English communication skills
• Strong Japanese communication skills, with professional business-level proficiency (equivalent to JLPT N1), to effectively communicate and liaise with Japanese-speaking clients and stakeholders.

Certifications or Equivalent Knowledge

• Knowledge of enterprise software and application development, implementation and enhancement lifecycle
• Knowledge of application management, application governance and technology project governance
• Knowledge of software and application solution evaluation, technical feasibility assessment, system impact assessment and application integration
• Knowledge of application testing, deployment, implementation and post-implementation support
• Knowledge of appropriate security, operational, regulatory and implementation risk considerations when developing or enhancing software and platform features
• Knowledge of technology transformation, RPA and automation solutions
• Knowledge of enterprise collaboration, HR management, e-signature and other enterprise application solutions
• Knowledge of transaction banking, cash management, payments technology and ISO 20022 is advantageous
• IT Passport, enterprise application, technology or equivalent professional certification/knowledge is advantageous
