The AI Consultant, RPA is responsible to execute on Robotic Process Automation (RPA) by designing RPA process map, developing and testing of RPA automation, ensuring quality of RPA scripts and maintenance of RPA scripts. He/she will be regarded as the subject matter expert in the area of process automation to assist customers to achieve greater efficiency in their daily operations.
He owns the end-to-end delivery of RPA solutions—from requirements discovery and solution design through development, testing, deployment support, and ongoing maintenance—while advising stakeholders on process optimization and automation best practices. Contributes to presales activities, customer enablement, and continuous innovation by incorporating emerging technologies (including AI components) to enhance automation capabilities.
What will you do:
- Participatein requirements and design workshops; collaborate with process owners/SMEs and technology teams to understand automation requirements.
- Implement automation using RPA software to deliver against business requirements, software engineering standards, and industry best practices.
- Conduct end-to-end testing, troubleshooting, and training for robots and programmed automations.
- Contribute to presales activities and solutioning of RPA offerings.
- Stay current with key technology trends and apply insights to strengthen customer outcomes. Deliver presentations to internal and external stakeholders on RPA capabilities and process improvement opportunities. Conduct RPA training for customers. Research and develop artificial intelligence components to augment RPA capabilities.
Essential Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent
- Degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Information Technology related field, or IT equivalent
- More than 6 years working experience with RPA software (UiPath/Blue Prism/Automation Anywhere)
- At least 2 years working experience in an Agile project
- Strong software engineering foundation
- Strong in documentation, process analysis and design, requirement gathering and impact analysis
- Ability to apply lean and design thinking in business process modelling
- Familiar with business processing modelling using BPMN 2.0
- Ability to lead, develop and maintain respectful and trusting relationship and also work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels
- Excellent oral/written communication to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
- Passion and appreciation for IT capabilities
- Able to travel as required
Preferred Attributes
- Demonstrated customer-facing consulting experience, including stakeholder management and workshop facilitation.
- Experience delivering executive-ready presentations and translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Presales and solution design experience, including scoping and estimating RPA initiatives.
- Experience designing automation frameworks, reusable components, and governance/quality standards for RPA.
- Working knowledge of process improvement approaches and operational efficiency initiatives.
- Exposure to incorporating AI/ML or intelligent automation capabilities (e.g., document understanding, NLP, computer vision) into RPA solutions.
Professional and/or Technical Certifications
- Blue Prism certification (e.g., Blue Prism Developer) — preferred.
- UiPath Certified Professional (e.g., Advanced RPA Developer) — preferred.
- Automation Anywhere certification (e.g., Advanced RPA Professional) — preferred.
- Agile certification (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM)) — preferred.
