Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Field Service Engineer to provide specialist support for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, inspection, and troubleshooting of Aeroderivative Gas Turbine systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert mechanical support for the installation, commissioning, start-up, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Aeroderivative Gas Turbine systems and associated rotating equipment.
- Perform mechanical inspections, condition assessments, and fault diagnosis to identify and resolve equipment issues.
- Support planned maintenance activities, overhauls, outages, repairs, and equipment upgrades.
- Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, maintenance procedures, and work instructions to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports, inspection findings, service documentation, and maintenance records.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering, operations, and technical teams to execute project activities safely and efficiently.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to site personnel, technicians, and junior engineers.
- Participate in commissioning activities, performance testing, functional checks, and system verification.
- Ensure adherence to company procedures, industry best practices, HSE requirements, and quality standards.
- Interface directly with clients and stakeholders to provide technical support and project updates.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Proven experience in the installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, or overhaul of gas turbines, rotating equipment, or power generation systems.
- Experience working on Aeroderivative Gas Turbines (e.g. LM2500, LM6000 or equivalent) will be advantageous.
- Strong understanding of rotating equipment, mechanical systems, vibration analysis, alignment, lubrication systems, and turbine operation principles.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, procedures, and specifications.
- Experience preparing technical reports and inspection documentation.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and client environments.
