RELIEF COOK / CLEANER WANTED

Bright Sparks Infant Care

Bright Sparks Infant Care is looking for a reliable and responsible Relief Cook / Cleaner to support our centre on an as-needed basis.

Pay: $100 per day
Working Hours: 8.5 hours per day
Employment Type: Relief / Ad-hoc

Please note: This is not a daily or permanent position. Applicants must be able to commit to specific relief dates provided by the centre.

Relief dates for September, October, November and December 2026 will be provided in advance for applicants to confirm their availability and commitment. Future relief dates will be discussed once confirmed.

Training Requirement
Successful applicants will be required to complete 1 week of on-the-job training (OJT) before commencing relief duties. Subsidised pay will be provided during the training period.

Main Duties

• Prepare and cook meals according to the centre’s menu and requirements
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
• Carry out general cleaning duties within the centre
• Follow food safety, hygiene and centre procedures
• Assist with other kitchen/cleaning duties when required

Requirements / Preference

• Reliable, responsible and punctual
• Able to commit to agreed relief dates
• Comfortable with both cooking and cleaning duties
• Able to work in an infant care environment
• Willing to complete the required 1-week OJT
• Applicants with a valid Food Safety Course Level 1 certificate (or equivalent food hygiene certification) are preferred
• Relevant cooking or preschool/infant care experience would be an advantage

This position is suitable for someone looking for occasional relief work who can reliably commit to pre-arranged dates.
