SENIOR COOK

We are seeking an experienced and hardworking Senior Cook to join our food court/canteen kitchen team. The Senior Cook will be responsible for daily food preparation and cooking, maintaining food quality and hygiene standards, and supporting the smooth operation of the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and company standards.
• Ensure food is consistently fresh, tasty and properly presented.
• Carry out daily preparation of meat, vegetables, sauces, spices and other ingredients.
• Manage cooking and food preparation during meal service.
• Ensure proper portion control and minimise food wastage.
• Check the quality and freshness of ingredients before use.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and cooking equipment.
• Follow food safety and hygiene procedures.
• Store and handle food ingredients properly.
• Monitor kitchen stock and inform the supervisor when supplies are low.
• Assist and guide junior cooks and kitchen helpers when required.
• Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Maintain a clean and organised working environment.
• Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor or management.
