Planning Assistant
About this job
As a Site Planning Assistant, you will partner closely with the Site Planner to commit and meet Customer and Business Requirements within the tactical planning horizon for assigned product lines. You will plan production against capacity constraints, analyze cycle time and yield drivers, and coordinate execution across GSC, Central Planning, and Site Management (Production, Engineering, Warehouse, and Logistics) to ensure commitments are delivered on time. You will leverage MAM / SAP / Tableau to drive planning accuracy, visibility, and efficiency.
Main Responsibilities:
On‑Time Delivery (OTD) Planning
Monitor weekly/daily production schedules and output plans to achieve OTD, considering inventory availability, capacity constraints, cycle time, yield, and other operational factors.
Kick start Manufacturing process by kitting wafer using MAM and SAP system.
Track plan misses and creates recovery/backfill plans for subsequent weeks; call out risks with root cause and mitigation.
Cross‑Functional Execution
Drive daily/weekly commit reviews with GSC, Central Planning, Production, Engineering, Warehouse, and Logistics; ensure actions are assigned and followed through.
Escalate critical risks with data‑backed impact assessments and recommend mitigation paths.
Other Responsibilities:
List secondary duties that also contribute to the role's performance and may be included in evaluations.
Integrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements.
Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one’s scope of work.
Contribute to continuous improvement (simplify planning processes, automate reports/dashboards in Tableau/Excel).
Support NPI/engineering kitting.
Minimum Required Qualifications/Experience
Diploma in Industrial/Mechanical/Electrical/Computer engineering or relevant.
Ability to apply baseline digital fluency and role‑appropriate AI literacy to use AI‑enabled tools responsibly and effectively for research, analysis, content creation, problem‑solving, operational tasks, and achieving business outcomes.
Must Have Technical Skills (2 to 5 skills)
Production and material planning expertise.
Capacity analysis and optimization techniques.
ERP system proficiency (SAP or equivalent).
Strong data analysis and reporting skills.
Must Have Soft Skills
Highly motivated to work in a dynamic environment and succeed using effective coping and management methods
Ability to multi-task and organize work systematically in meeting dead-lines without compromising on quality
Excellent communication and collaboration across functions.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability.

Highly Desirable/Preferred skills or experience
Hands-on experience in SAP warehouse modules, ASRS (Automated Storage and Retrieval System) Management
Experience with MRB resolution
