Financial Reporting Specialist

Reporting to the Lead, Financial Reporting, this role supports IFRS reporting activities, including financial reporting, analysis, reconciliations, data validation, and regulatory reporting. The successful candidate will help ensure accurate and timely reporting while maintaining compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Support monthly and quarterly IFRS reporting activities.
• Prepare, validate, and reconcile financial reporting data and outputs.
• Assist in the preparation of statutory, regulatory, group, and management reports.
• Investigate reporting variances and provide analysis on key financial movements.
• Ensure reporting deadlines are met and reporting controls are maintained.
• Support process improvement initiatives, documentation, and reporting efficiency enhancements.
• Assist with changes related to accounting standards and reporting requirements.
• Participate in system enhancements, user acceptance testing (UAT), and reporting projects.
• Support the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports.

Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related discipline.
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CPA, CA or equivalent) would be advantageous.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in financial accounting, financial reporting, audit, or related finance functions.
• Experience in IFRS reporting and/or insurance industry reporting is advantageous.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting systems.
