Principal Data Scientist

A financial institution is looking for a seasoned Principal Data Scientist to join their established data science team. You will be a thought leader for AgenticAI, GenAI, data science and machine learning techniques within the organisation, driving technical conversations as a senior representative from the Centre of Excellence. In this role, you will:

• Be an effective communicator:
  Work alongside senior, non-technical, business stakeholders to identify enterprise-wide or nationwide use cases. Explain complex technical solutions in layman terms to obtain buy-in. Engage in technical conversations with colleagues from other technical disciplines including data engineering and product management.

• Be a grounded, technical leader:
  Understand the organisation's tech stack and provide technical leadership to shape, build and implement feasible, meaningful AI/data science products that tackle issues across risk management and operations efficiency.

What are we asking for?

• 10-15 years of experience developing enterprise grade, cloud based data science products
• Ability to explain technical concepts to a non-technical / business / senior management audience is a must
• Extensive hands-on experience in building applied products/solutions using AI, machine learning and data science to solve business problems effectively
• Knowledge of software development, MLOps best practices, open source libraries and cloud architecture
