Software Consultant

We are looking for an experienced Software Consultant to work with clients and internal teams to understand business requirements, recommend appropriate technology solutions, and support the design, implementation, and optimization of software applications. The role requires a combination of technical expertise, business understanding, problem-solving, and strong client communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand business and technical requirements.
• Analyse existing applications, systems, and business processes and identify areas for improvement.
• Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
• Recommend suitable software solutions, technologies, architectures, and implementation approaches.
• Participate in software design, development, integration, testing, deployment, and support activities.
• Work closely with developers, architects, project managers, business analysts, and other technical teams.
• Support system integration with existing applications, databases, APIs, and third-party platforms.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide effective solutions.
• Prepare technical documentation, solution designs, specifications, and project reports.
• Conduct client workshops, demonstrations, presentations, and knowledge-transfer sessions.
• Support software implementation, migration, upgrades, and enhancement projects.
• Ensure solutions meet business requirements, quality standards, security requirements, and project timelines.
• Provide post-implementation support and recommend continuous improvements.
• Stay updated on emerging software technologies, development frameworks, cloud platforms, and industry best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in software development, software consulting, application implementation, or a similar technical role.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, JavaScript, or similar.
• Good knowledge of databases, SQL, APIs, system integration, and application architecture.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into practical technology solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong documentation, presentation, and client-facing skills.
