Senior Pricing & Risk Analytics Analyst

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Pricing & Risk Analytics Analyst to join a front-office-facing team supporting investment and trading activities across a multi-strategy environment.

The role combines pricing support, valuation, risk and P&L investigation, quantitative analysis, and stakeholder management. You will act as a senior point of contact for Portfolio Managers and trading teams, investigating complex analytics issues, identifying root causes, coordinating with technology and quantitative teams, and driving issues through to resolution.

The successful candidate will also provide guidance to junior team members and help improve the team's processes, controls, documentation and analytical tooling.

Key Responsibilities

Pricing, Valuation & Risk Support

• Act as a senior point of contact for queries relating to pricing, valuation, risk and P&L.
• Investigate discrepancies in valuation, risk measures and P&L, identifying root causes and determining the appropriate resolution path.
• Support Portfolio Managers and trading teams with pre-trade analysis, scenario analysis and other quantitative investigations.
• Assess whether issues originate from pricing models, market data, configuration, trading platforms or downstream systems, and coordinate with the appropriate teams.
• Apply sound quantitative judgment to identify unusual or incorrect results and distinguish genuine analytics issues from expected model behaviour.

Stakeholder & Issue Management

• Own user queries from initial acknowledgement and clarification through investigation, resolution and closure.
• Communicate clearly with Portfolio Managers, traders, risk teams, quants, technology teams and other stakeholders.
• Act as the senior escalation point for complex, urgent or ambiguous issues.
• Manage multiple concurrent requests effectively while maintaining a high standard of service and analytical quality.
• Drive defects and enhancement requests through to completion, following up with relevant technology and platform teams and confirming that the final solution addresses the underlying issue.

Team Leadership & Process Improvement

• Provide oversight and guidance to junior analysts on user communication, triage, investigation and issue resolution.
• Review work produced by junior team members and coach them on analytical judgment and quality.
• Develop and improve runbooks, procedures and troubleshooting processes to ensure recurring issues are handled consistently and efficiently.
• Promote strong documentation, operational controls and maker-checker discipline for configuration and production changes.
• Identify opportunities to automate recurring checks and investigations using Python and other analytical tools.
• Leverage AI-enabled tools to improve investigation, documentation and operational efficiency.

Regional Coverage

• Support Singapore-based trading activity, including late-shift coverage where required.
• Coordinate effective handovers across regional teams to maintain continuity of support.
• Act as a shift coordinator when required, ensuring appropriate coverage during periods of increased demand, holidays and leave.
• Maintain clear communication and continuity across teams operating in different locations and time zones.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or a related field.
• Postgraduate quantitative qualifications are preferred; CFA or equivalent professional qualifications will also be considered.
• 5+ years of experience in pricing support, valuation, model validation, risk analytics, quantitative development, trading analytics or a closely related front-office function.
• Strong understanding of pricing, valuation, P&L and risk calculations.
• Experience working with financial instruments across multiple asset classes, ideally including equities, macro, rates, FX and credit.
• Experience with structured products or derivatives is highly advantageous.
• Strong quantitative and analytical problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate discrepancies and determine root cause.
• Proficiency in Python, with experience developing analytical tools, automated checks or investigation workflows.
• Ability to work effectively with Portfolio Managers, traders, quants, risk teams and technology teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex analytical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Comfortable making independent decisions and exercising sound judgment when dealing with complex or ambiguous issues.
• Ability to manage multiple high-priority requests under pressure while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

Desirable Skills

• Trading floor or front-office experience.
• Experience with SQL and financial databases.
• Bloomberg or other market data platform experience.
• Knowledge of derivatives pricing and valuation methodologies.
• Experience with quantitative model validation or independent price verification.
• Experience working with market data, pricing curves, risk sensitivities and P&L attribution.
• Experience supporting multi-asset or multi-strategy investment environments.
• Experience using AI or automation tools to improve analytical and operational workflows.
