Vice President - Trading Commercial

This role will lead both the Philippine and Singapore-based teams of Abaqa Power accountable for centralizing and optimizing the procurement of fuel and third-party trades primarily for coal, but may also include heavy fuel oil, diesel, and liquified natural gas (LNG). The role will drive sourcing optimization initiatives and identify opportunities to enhance margins through strategic arbitrage. This role will also lead the group's expansion into trading for both physical commodities and paper markets as well as help drive investment strategies with key adjacencies to the core business of fuel management, power station operations, energy sales and commodities trading.

He/she will act as the main Point-of-Contact between Fuel Management Team in Manila (FMT) and Singapore on matters pertaining to strategic sourcing strategy and new business development. In this regard, the person performing the role needs to have an overall view of the activities of FMT and have a very good grasp of the entire FMT process.

He/she will lead business development initiatives for growing the trading business. This involves identifying possible investments and/or initiatives, development of a business plan, monitoring of project status and deliverables, communicating with project sponsors, team and other relevant stakeholders, and presenting timely reports to management.
