Job Description
We are seeking a hands-on and driven Senior / Equipment Engineer to join our engineering team in a manufacturing environment. This role will focus on equipment development, system integration, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement to support production efficiency and reliability.
The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop practical engineering solutions, improve equipment performance, and resolve technical issues in a dynamic production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop jigs, fixtures, and mechatronic systems using CAD.
- Translate engineering requirements into reliable and repeatable equipment solutions.
- Assemble, test, calibrate, and optimise equipment to meet performance and production targets.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues to minimise downtime.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Support automation and robotics-related projects, including system integration and improvement.
- Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, including drawings and bills of materials.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, quality, and external vendors to ensure timely project delivery.
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, stability, and overall production efficiency.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 2–5 years of relevant hands-on engineering experience.
- Experience in troubleshooting electronics and software-related issues.
- Experience in designing and developing jigs and fixtures.
- Experience with automation and robotics systems.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical design, precision engineering, and system integration.
- Proficiency in CAD software.
- Programming exposure in PLC, MCU, Python, LabVIEW, or similar platforms is advantageous.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
