AS400 Developer (JD#11316)

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced AS400 Developer to handle application enhancements, technical analysis, production support, and UAT while working closely with business and technical teams.

Mandatory Skill-set

• Must have 3–5 years of hands-on experience in AS400/iSeries development and support;
• Strong knowledge of RPGLE, SQLRPGLE, CLLE, DB2/400, DDS, Subfiles, Query/400, and Embedded SQL;
• Experience handling production issues, batch jobs, system integrations, and performance tuning;
• Good understanding of SDLC, project implementation, release management, and change management;
• Hands-on experience supporting UAT, SIT, regression testing, and production verification.

Desired Skill-set

• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills;
• Experience in banking/payment systems, with exposure to Control-M, DevOps/CI/CD, integrations, and Agile/Hybrid environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead AS400 application enhancements, technical delivery, and project implementation;
• Perform impact analysis, estimation, solution design, and development using RPGLE, CLLE, SQLRPGLE, and DB2;
• Coordinate SIT/UAT, deployments, migrations, and post-production validation;
• Work with business and technical teams to understand requirements and resolve issues;
• Provide technical guidance, code reviews, and support to development teams;
• Handle production incidents, root-cause analysis, performance issues, and permanent fixes.
