Project Engineer
About this job
We’re looking for an analytical and technically minded Project Engineer to support the planning and delivery of manufacturing projects. This role combines project knowledge, data analysis and technology to provide better visibility of project requirements, inventory, production capacity and delivery timelines, enabling more effective planning and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Analysis
Analyse project requirements, production needs and delivery timelines to support effective project planning and fulfilment. Use data to provide visibility on project status and upcoming requirements.
- Data Analytics & Technology
Use data analytics, automation and other digital tools to consolidate information across different systems, providing insights to support project planning and decision-making.
- Inventory & Capacity Analysis
Analyse inventory availability, stock allocation and production capacity across projects to support effective utilisation of resources and inventory.
- Cross-Functional Coordination
Work closely with Project, Production, Sales, and Logistics teams to understand operational requirements and translate data into practical information that supports project execution.
- Project Performance & Reporting
Develop and maintain reports, dashboards and performance indicators to provide clear visibility of project progress, inventory utilisation and delivery performance.
- Product & Process Knowledge
Develop a good understanding of the company’s products, manufacturing processes, production capabilities and project requirements to ensure analysis and recommendations are practical and relevant.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Business Analytics or a related discipline.
- Relevant experience in project management, commercial operations, or similar role is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret project, inventory, production and delivery data.
- Experience with Power BI, data analytics, automation or other digital tools is an advantage.
- Strong project coordination and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and timelines concurrently.
- Proactive, detail-oriented and able to work independently in a fast-paced commercial environment.
