Murex MxML Developer

Job Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze business and technical requirements for change requests, projects, and new product development.
• Perform impact analysis and translate business requirements into technical specifications and solutions.
• Design, develop, enhance, and support Murex STP trade interfaces.
• Develop and maintain Murex workflows and MxML components covering trade lifecycle and system integrations.
• Support all phases of the project lifecycle, including development, testing, implementation, production deployment, and post-go-live support.
• Build and maintain confirmation templates, event notices, SWIFT messages, ISO messages, and other document-generation components from STP workflows.
• Develop workflows for trade processing, contract processing, exchange workflows, confirmation generation, error management, and system interfaces.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application and integration issues.
• Work closely with project managers, business analysts, business users, technical teams, and external vendors.
• Ensure development activities adhere to established project, technology, and delivery processes.

Essential Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on Murex workflow and MxML development experience, preferably within banking or financial services.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Murex 3.1.
• Strong experience with MxML development.
• Good understanding of:
• Trade Workflow
• Contract Workflow
• Exchange Workflow
• Trade Lifecycle
• STP Processing
• Strong experience developing new system integration/interface workflows in Murex.
• Hands-on experience with Confirmation Build, including:
• Paper Confirmations
• SWIFT
• ISO Messages
• Experience with confirmation generation, error management, and OSP.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle SQL.
• Good knowledge of Unix and Shell Scripting.
• Understanding of MQ and SFTP integrations.
• Ability to independently perform business analysis and requirement gathering.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
• Good understanding of Treasury products and business processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Exposure to Murex Managed Interfaces, including:
• CLS
• Market Data
• Omgeo
• Bloomberg
• SMT
• MRRE
• Experience with Murex data migration projects.
• Good understanding of Murex DataMart reporting.
• Previous experience working on large-scale banking or treasury technology projects.
