Engineering Manager (Semiconductor Automation and TCB Equipment)

Job Summary:
The Engineering Manager is responsible for leading the engineering team and ensuring the successful execution of engineering projects from planning through completion. This role provides technical leadership, oversees project deliverables, maintains compliance with quality and engineering standards, and supports customer satisfaction through effective collaboration and problem resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, coach, and develop engineering team members to enhance technical capability, performance, and career growth.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee engineering activities to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the required quality standards.
- Final approval for engineering drawings, calculations, technical documentation, procurement specifications, and project records.
- Provide technical guidance, material and manpower estimates to support customer quotations and proposals.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for technical and project-related issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Ensure compliance with company quality management systems, engineering standards, customer specifications, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize engineering processes, productivity, and project execution.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, QA/QC, Procurement, Manufacturing, and customers to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Monitor engineering resource allocation, workload, and project priorities to meet business objectives.
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation plans to minimize schedule, cost, and technical impacts.
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, teamwork, innovation, and continuous learning within the engineering department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred.
- Proven experience in engineering leadership or project management role in the semiconductor equipment industry.
- Experience in Semiconductor Automation or TCB Equipment is advantageous
- Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Familiarity with quality management systems, engineering standards, and project management practices.
- Ability to operate under time pressure with multiple projects and priorities.
- Fluency in English and Chinese to liaise with counterparts based in China(HQ).
