Material Handler Lead

Position Summary

This position is required to lead workers engaged in the daily duties associated with warehouse operations, operates standard and/or specialize Material Handling Equipment (MHE) in combination with materials handling duties as instructed by the operations supervisor.

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead a small team of Material Handler/Senior in daily duties in the warehouse operations.

• Receives verbal or written general instructions from supervisor and relays information and priorities and work assignments to other members of the team in order to satisfactorily complete the assignment.

• Reports back to supervisor with progress of work process and any problems encountered.

• Receiving/releasing/loading and unloading of cargoes.

• Operating of warehouse equipment such as forklift, reach truck and stacker.

• Provide on-the-job training to newly hired Material Handlers.

• Inventory check or stock taking.

• Use of WMS for Data entry and generation of documents

Qualifications Summary

Experience:

This position requires minimum 3 years relevant experience in logistics or warehousing and possess a forklift licence. (Preferred)

Education:

Minimum ‘N’ levels

Skills:

• Experience in operating warehouse equipment such as forklift, stacker and reach truck

• Knowledge in warehouse receiving, picking, packing, wrapping and releasing functions

• Able to use the computer

• Able to communicate and gives instructions in simple instructions

Working hours:

Mon to Fri, 8:30am to 6pm
