Senior Procurement Specialist
About this job
The Senior Procurement Specialist is responsible for developing contracting strategies, managing tender processes, and negotiating contracts for projects below USD 5million. This role ensures the availability of specified goods and services according to internal customer requirements and aligns procurement activities with overall company goals.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute contracting strategies that align with project scope, budget, and company objectives.
- Plan, organize, and manage the tendering process, ensuring full compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
- Conduct supplier pre-qualification, maintain an updated list of approved vendors, and manage supplier relationships to ensure high-quality service.
- Oversee contract implementation, monitor compliance, facilitate visibility, and manage amendments or terminations in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Execute the annual procurement plan, including spend analysis and process improvements, ensuring alignment with budget and planning requirements.
- Lead contract negotiations for growth projects and operational expense (OPEX) renewals, ensuring favourable terms and conditions for the organization.
- Oversee and manage the procurement steps in the P2P process, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in ordering, receiving, and payment.
- Develop strategies for key procurement categories and specific projects to optimize cost, efficiency, and risk management.
- Identify and implement process improvements in procurement policies and procedures, enhancing overall efficiency and effectiveness.
- Regularly measure and analyze procurement processes, utilizing key performance indicators (KPIs) to improve performance and achieve departmental goals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- At least 8-10 years of experience in procurement, contracting management, or related fields.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills; proficiency in MS Office applications; knowledge of contract law and vendor management.
- Business acumen, problem-solving capabilities, customer-oriented mindset, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
