Materials Coordinator

Job objective
The Materials Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and controlling materials, inventory, and logistics activities to ensure the timely availability and accurate administration of project materials. The role supports the Procurement team by managing material movements, inventory levels, documentation, and expediting activities to meet project and operational requirements.
Result areas
General
· Checking and storing correctly all spare gear received and that it is maintained in good condition.
· Checking and ensuring all goods dispatched from the installation are correctly packaged and labelled.
· Material transfers.
· Correct Sea and Air cargo manifesting and declaration of dangerous goods
· Using Purchasing Management System 'Maximo'.
· Managing minimum and maximum stock levels in conjunction with management team
· Expediting of materials as identified by management team.
· Assisting the mechanical department with FRC maintenance as required.
· Ensuring proper, verbal and written, handover during shift change and end of trip.
· Compliance with and commitment to:
- Offshore FPSO Corporate Management System
- Offshore FPSO Operational Safety Case
- Company Policies and Procedures
- Offshore FPSO Environmental Management System
- Offshore FPSO Competency Scheme
· Performing tasks in a safe and responsible manner.
Education & experience
Qualifications
· Technical College (or equivalent) qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
· Certification in Dangerous Goods (Air and Sea) is considered an advantage.
· Knowledge of inventory management systems and ERP software (e.g. Maximo, SAP, Oracle, IFS or similar) is preferred.
· Relevant HSE or company-required training as applicable.
Experience
· Experience in materials coordination, warehouse, logistics, procurement support, or supply chain role within an offshore, marine, energy, construction, or EPC environment.
· Experience with inventory control, material tracking, and expediting activities.
· Familiarity with international shipping, customs documentation, and logistics processes is an advantage.
· Experience using ERP or materials management systems.
