Logistics Supervisor

1. Supervise and coordinate all logistical activities, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
2. Develop and implement strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency and minimize costs.
3. Lead, train, and motivate a team of logistics personnel to achieve departmental goals.
4. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment as needed to meet demand.
5. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies regarding transportation and storage of goods.
6. Evaluate and select third-party logistics providers and negotiate contracts as necessary.
7. Analyze data and generate reports to track key performance indicators and identify areas for improvement.
8. Resolve logistical issues and address customer concerns in a timely and effective manner.
9. Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement and sales, to coordinate logistics activities and support overall business objectives.
10. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in logistics and supply chain management.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience in logistics management, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
2. Strong knowledge of logistics principles, practices, and regulations.
3. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
4. Proficiency in using logistics software and tools for tracking shipments, managing inventory, and analyzing data (e.g., ERP systems, transportation management systems).
5. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
6. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate across departments and communicate with external stakeholders.
7. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

9. Knowledge of safety and security procedures related to transportation and warehousing operations.
