Software Engineer (.NET / .NET MAUI)

About the role

We are looking for a talented .NET Software Engineer with experience or strong interest in cross-platform application development to join our development team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining modern applications across mobile and desktop platforms using C#, .NET, and .NET MAUI. As we are planned to transition our existing Android and iOS applications from separate codebases to a cross-platform architecture using .NET MAUI, the ideal candidate should have a good understanding of mobile application development and experience working with cross-platform or native mobile technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, automate, and maintain software applications and services that support business and operational requirements

• Design and develop applications using C#, .NET, ASP.NET, and .NET MAUI

• Develop and maintain cross-platform mobile applications for Android and iOS using a shared codebase

• Assist in the migration and redevelopment of existing native Android and iOS applications to .NET MAUI

• Integrate mobile applications with Web Services and REST APIs

• Perform unit, integration, functional, and non-functional testing

• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to software applications

• Identify and implement improvements, enhancements, and performance optimizations

• Work closely with team leads and other team members to understand requirements, define project scope, and achieve project objectives

• Work independently on assigned development tasks while collaborating effectively with the wider development team

About you

• Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Degree, or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field

• 1–2 years of experience in software/application development

• Strong programming knowledge in C# and .NET

• Hands-on experience with .NET MAUI or other cross-platform mobile application development frameworks is highly preferred

• Experience in developing applications for Android and/or iOS platforms would be an advantage

• Experience with native mobile development technologies such as Java/Kotlin for Android or SwiftUI (Storyboard) for iOS is an added advantage

• Good understanding of cross-platform mobile application architecture, including shared code, platform-specific functionality, device permissions, and mobile application lifecycle

• Good knowledge of ASP.NET, Web Services/API development, SQL, and IIS

• Understanding of software development lifecycle, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
