GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
Reporting to the Head of Business Development, Asia, the Coordinator, Business Development will be responsible for assisting in the planning, coordination, and advancement of our business development strategies across practice, industry and strategic initiatives. This position will work closely with lawyers, the Business Development team, and other professionals across the firm in organizing and executing related activities.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities:
- Provide Business Development support to Practice Groups, Industry Teams, and Strategic Initiatives.
- Draft and coordinate pitches, RFP responses, and presentations
- Work in collaboration with the events team to plan and execute client events
- Maintain and update key collaterals and materials including deals lists and capability statements
- Monitor budgets and help coordinate budget requests
- Support the Directories team to draft and finalise ranking submissions
- Support cross border business development activities in other Asia offices when required
- Draft and edit correspondence, PowerPoint presentations and visual resources, and other documents, collaborating with colleagues across departments to format, edit, proofread, print, and compile deliverables to firm standards.
- Collaborate with marketing and communications on PR and marketing related requests
- Coordinate logistics for meetings and calls.
- Conduct research using firm intranet and external platforms and create reports in support of business development activities.
- Assist in data collection and basic analysis.
- Support multiple business development projects and tasks at any given time, exhibiting flexibility and commitment as priorities change.
- Coordinate responses to ad hoc assignments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to accomplish multiple assignments and deliverables on an ongoing basis under very tight deadlines.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree Business, Marketing, or a related field; minimum of three years of relevant professional experience. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with a wide range of individuals with differing opinions and diverse personalities.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and database applications.
- Strong organizational, team building, and communication skills are essential.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
- MS-Office (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and ChromeRiver)
- Ability to adapt to new software programs.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and may occasionally be required to move about. The employee is also regularly required to use a computer, involving substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and fingers. The employee is also required to regularly communicate with others.
- The employee may also occasionally be expected to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds with assistance.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The position will not be responsible for supervising or managing others.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- This job occasional requests time for outside events and evening/weekend hours.
