About this job

Responsible for new and existing machine ( downtime,preventive and predictive maintenance), cost saving and productivity improvement

Responsibilities:

  • Handle installation, servicing and maintenance of offset printing androtogravure machines
  • Attend to unplanned breakdowns, diagnose faults and eliminate repeating issues
  • Schedule and execute preventive and predictive maintenance and update records
  • Involve in the installation and commissioning process
  • Monitor and control maintenance tools, stores and plant equipment inventory to facilitate smooth production flow and controlling maintenance costs.
  • Supervise in-house maintenance team and engineering services contractors
  • To setup and execute system to track machine efficiency / breakdown
  • Identify areas of improvements in the production workflow
  • Manage the process control systems and troubleshoot PLC and any other devices
  • Attend to any adhoc duties
  • Awareness of ISO 9001, ISO14001 and ISO 45001 management systems and policy, including the implications of nonconforming to the requirements and the assessment of occupational risks and hazards.
  • Schedule regular communication with employees to discuss expectations and challenges and help to remove obstacles related to product safety and quality.
  • Act on comments and suggestions from employees about product safety and quality seriously, and regularly encourage employees to offer ideas about improving product safety and quality.
  • Allocate time for employees to receive product safety and quality training, as well as regular updates and refresher sessions.

Requirements:

  • Degree in engineering related discipline
  • 3 years working experience in engineering / manufacturing
  • Supervise and manage 6- 8 electrical / mechanical technicians
  • Preferred at least 1-2 year(s) of working experience in manufacturing environment and PLC programming and trouble shooting issue
  • Good understanding of entire printing process is preferred
  • Skilled in troubleshooting and training colleagues
  • Ability to handle pressure well in a deadline driven environment
  • Able to work independently
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Communication and Interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving and Analytical skills
  • Planning and organising skills
  • Time-management and Multi-tasking skills
