We are looking for Senior Early Intervention Teacher who is passionate about working with children with special needs and is driven to make a difference in their lives.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Leadership
• Lead the planning and implementation of the EI curriculum. Ensuring lessons, IEPs and intervention approaches remain consistent and developmentally sound across the teaching team.
• Provide day-to-day guidance, coaching and supervision to EI team
• Coordinate and chair team discussions, case reviews and program planning meetings, ensuring decisions are documented and followed through.
Teaching & Intervention
• Plan and conduct developmentally appropriate early intervention lessons
• Guide goal setting, lesson planning and intervention.
• Maintain clear and timely documentation of children’s development, progress and learning needs.
Collaboration & Family Engagement
• Work closely with teachers, therapists and other professionals to ensure consistency in supporting each child.
• Participate in, and help facilitate, team discussions, case reviews, program planning and centre activities.
Requirements:
· Diploma or Degree in Early Intervention, Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Psychology or related field
· At least 3 years of relevant experience working with young children or children with developmental and learning needs, including some experience mentoring, guiding or supervising other teachers or team members.
· Work collaboratively as part of a team, and to guide and support that team.
· Good understanding of child development and early intervention practices, including IEP development and individualized lesson planning.
· Good communication and interpersonal skills when working with children, families, colleagues and other professionals.
