Responsibilities

• Install wiring, circuit breakers, lighting fixtures, and control systems to complete electrical system installations.
• Diagnose electrical faults by using tools such as multimeters, thermal cameras, and ammeters to troubleshoot and repair systems.
• Interpret blueprints and technical schematics to accurately map wiring paths and locate electrical outlets.
• Handle various wire types, including network cables (Cat 5/6/7) and power systems, ensuring proper wiring proficiency.
• Assemble electrical control panels to support system functionality.
• Apply knowledge of local electrical codes and the National Electrical Code (NEC) to maintain safety and compliance.
• Implement OSHA safety procedures, including lock-out/tag-out protocols, to prevent workplace accidents.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly to ensure personal and team safety.
• Operate hand and power tools such as wire strippers, conduit benders, drills, and saws with proficiency.
• Maintain physical stamina to work in cramped spaces and perform tasks requiring bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
• Demonstrate high manual dexterity to perform delicate wiring tasks accurately.
• Analyze and resolve electrical failures efficiently through strong problem-solving skills.
• Ensure accurate electrical connections by maintaining attention to detail to prevent hazards.
• Communicate effectively with contractors, inspectors, and clients to explain repairs and discuss project requirements.
• Perform basic mathematical calculations related to electrical loads, voltage drops, and amperage to support system design and troubleshooting.
