Process Engineer
About this job
Main Responsibilities:
Draft and implement Process Improvement idea with the objectives to improve process / occupational safety, improve product safety / quality, reduce energy consumption, improve production capacity / productivity, and reduce costs via Management of Change system and/or non-regular work system.
Coordinate, arrange and plan new grade trial run with R&D and Operation team, and handle the trial run and the evaluation.
Evaluate process performance and key process parameters from long term view and/or periodically to uncover potential risk that may leads to Plant instability, Safety or Quality issues.
Participate actively in HAZOP, FMEA and Control plan studies as Process Engineering Function for safety and quality improvement.
Oversee Process related capital expenditures project from conceptual design up to Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and lead the project assigned by (assistant) manager of department.
Study and implement Industry 4.0 related technologies as part of Productivity Improvements Projects.
Collaborates with other departments to maintain management systems such as ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, SS651, IATF16949, Safety Case Regime, Energy Management System and ISCC plus as Process Engineering Function.
Perform study as Process Engineering Function such as NRW, MOC and as per request from other departments.
Requirements:
Bachelor / Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering.
Preferably with 3 years of working experience in Petrochemical Industries. Possession of a Singapore Certified Energy Manager (SCEM) certification will be advantageous.
Familiarity with Safety Case Regime, IATF 16949, ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, SS 651and IEC 61511 standards will be advantageous.
Familiarity with Distributed Control System (DCS), in particular its logic and sequence modification is a plus.
Able to multi-task and handle a wide spectrum of responsibilities effectively.
Good interpersonal and strong analytical skills.
