Role:

The Project Director is responsible for leading the successful delivery of aviation projects across APAC ensuring alignment with Egis’ strategic objectives, regional (APAC) priorities, and country-specific strategies. The role provides leadership across project governance, commercial performance, client relationships, and business development, ensuring that all projects are delivered in accordance with the Egis Way and meet client expectations and organizational goals. This role is an integral part of the APAC Aviation team, and support with delivery of projects in other regions, as needed.

Project Leadership & Governance

▬ Lead and oversee the successful delivery of aviation projects throughout the entire project lifecycle, from initiation through to completion and close-out.

▬ Ensure projects are aligned with organizational goals, strategic objectives, and client expectations.

▬ Provide overall project direction, governance, and decision-making to ensure successful project outcomes.

▬ Act as the primary point of contact for clients, project teams, senior management, and other key stakeholders.

▬ Prepare and present project updates, performance reports, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.

Project Planning & Strategy

▬ Develop and implement comprehensive project execution plans, including schedules, resource requirements, budgets, procurement strategies, and risk management plans.

▬ Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with clients and senior management.

▬ Establish project governance frameworks and ensure effective monitoring and control mechanisms are in place.

▬ Ensure clear communication of project goals, expectations, and responsibilities across all project teams.

Commercial & Financial Management

▬ Assume overall accountability for project financial performance, including revenue, profitability, cost control, and cash flow management.

▬ Oversee project budgets and forecasts, ensuring projects are delivered within approved financial parameters.

▬ Monitor project expenditures and financial risks, implementing corrective actions where necessary.

▬ Support contract administration and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

Risk & Issue Management

▬ Identify, assess, and manage project risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.

▬ Implement mitigation strategies and contingency plans to minimize project impact.

▬ Resolve complex project issues and provide timely escalation where required.

▬ Conduct regular project reviews to ensure emerging risks and challenges are proactively addressed.

Client Relationship Management

▬ Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients across the aviation sector.

▬ Ensure high levels of client satisfaction through proactive communication and successful project delivery.

▬ Represent Egis in client meetings, industry forums, and stakeholder engagements.

Business Development & Proposal Management

▬ Identify potential opportunities of Air Traffic Management (ATM) projects in the region and work directly with APAC Aviation Director in pursuing these opportunities.

▬ Support the development and execution of business development strategies in collaboration with the APAC Aviation Director.

▬ Lead or support bid management activities for aviation opportunities, coordinating with the Tender Unit and technical teams to prepare high-quality, competitive, and technically robust proposals.

▬ Contribute to market intelligence, client engagement, and strategic growth initiatives within the Aviation Service Line.

Integrated Management System

▬ Compliance with Quality Policy and Health, Safety and Environment Policy.

▬ Awareness of the integrated management system and related procedures.

▬ Fulfil relevant role responsibilities as defined in the Work Health, Safety and Environment Management Plan.

▬ Support with quality and auditing activities, as required.

Keyrole experiences, competencies and qualifications:

▬ Minimum of 15 years’ experience within global engineering or consulting organisation.

Technical Skills:

▬ Deep knowledgeof ATM systems Engineering and implementation processes.

▬ Knowledge ofATM systems, Safety and Cybersecurity applied to the ATM field.

▬ Extensiveexperience in delivering large-scale aviation or infrastructure projects withfull lifecycle accountability.

▬ Strong expertise in project governance, commercial management, and complex project delivery.

▬ Proven leadership experience managing multidisciplinary and geographically dispersed teams.

▬ Strong client relationship and stakeholder management capability within the aviation sector.

▬ Experience in business development, tendering, and proposal preparation.

Relevant tertiary qualification in engineering, project management, or a related discipline.
