Senior Buyer (OEM, Aerospace)

We are representing our client in the Aerospace industry to hire for a Senior Buyer (Direct Procurement).

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement of direct materials to support manufacturing operations.
• Source and negotiate suppliers for raw metals, CNC machined components, fabricated parts, and subcontract services.
• Drive cost, quality, delivery, and inventory performance.
• Issue RFQs, evaluate quotations, and lead commercial negotiations.
• Work closely with Planning, Operations, Engineering, and Quality teams to ensure material availability.
• Monitor supplier performance, capacity, lead times, and risk mitigation plans.
• Identify cost reduction and supplier development opportunities.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of purchasing/procurement experience in OEM manufacturing, aerospace, precision engineering, or regulated industries.
• Strong experience in direct procurement of Raw metals (aluminium, steel, titanium, nickel alloys), CNC machined components, Fabricated/welded parts and Subcontract manufacturing services
• Good understanding of machining, fabrication, engineering drawings, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with supplier management, strategic sourcing, and contract negotiations.
• Proficient in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office.

Preferred

• Aerospace or high-precision manufacturing background.
• Familiarity with AS9100, ISO9001, or regulated manufacturing environments.
