Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to support and drive quality excellence within our logistics and distribution operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for customer complaint management, root cause analysis, continuous improvement initiatives, quality performance monitoring, and support of the organization's Quality Management System (QMS).
This role requires a hands-on individual who can analyze operational data, identify trends, drive corrective actions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve customer satisfaction and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Quality Management
- Manage customer complaints and quality incidents from receipt through closure.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) using structured methodologies such as:
- 5 Why
- Fishbone Diagram
- A3
- 8D
- Coordinate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) with operational stakeholders.
- Monitor complaint trends and recommend systemic improvements.
- Ensure timely and effective customer responses.
Continuous Improvement
- Lead and support Lean improvement initiatives across warehouse and logistics operations.
- Identify process inefficiencies, waste, and quality risks.
- Facilitate problem-solving activities and continuous improvement projects.
- Support implementation of error-proofing (Poka-Yoke) solutions and standardization initiatives.
- Drive a culture of continual improvement and operational excellence.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze quality performance data and identify trends, recurring issues, and improvement opportunities.
- Develop and maintain quality KPIs and dashboards.
- Monitor metrics such as:
- Customer complaints
- DLPM / defect rates
- Warehouse accuracy
- Returns trends
- CAPA effectiveness
- Generate regular reports and management presentations.
- Utilize Power BI for visualization and reporting (preferred).
Quality Management System (QMS)
- Support maintenance and continual improvement of the Quality Management System.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 requirements and internal procedures.
- Participate in internal audits and support external certification audits.
- Assist with document control, risk assessments, and process reviews.
- Track audit findings and corrective action implementation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Operations, Customer Service, Purchasing, Sales, and Warehouse teams to resolve quality issues.
- Facilitate quality reviews and improvement discussions.
- Support training and awareness initiatives related to quality requirements and best practices.
Requirements
Education
- Diploma or Degree in:
- Quality Management
- Supply Chain & Logistics Management
- Related discipline
Experience
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Quality, Logistics, Supply Chain, Warehouse Operations, or Customer Quality.
- Experience in handling customer complaints and corrective action processes.
- Experience working within an ISO 9001 certified environment preferred.
Technical Competencies
- Knowledge of:
- ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
- Root Cause Analysis methodologies
- CAPA processes
- Lean / Continuous Improvement principles
- Strong data analysis capability using Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with Power BI is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of warehouse and logistics processes is advantageous.
Certifications (Preferred)
- ISO 9001 Internal Auditor Certification.
- Lean Practitioner / Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt.
- Six Sigma Green Belt (advantageous).

Preferred Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have experience in logistics,warehouse, distribution, or supply chain operations and a strong interest inquality management. Candidates with ISO internal auditing experience, customercomplaint management exposure, Lean improvement project involvement, and PowerBI reporting capability will be highly regarded.
