Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanic to perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs across our fleet, including heavy construction machinery (e.g., excavators), as well as light and heavy vehicles. The ideal candidate will be adept at both workshop maintenance and site-based support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance & Repairs: Perform regular maintenance, preventive servicing, and general repairs on heavy machinery (excavators), as well as light and heavy vehicles.
- Diagnostics & Overhauls: Conduct diagnostic checks, troubleshooting, automotive transmission repairs, hydraulic system servicing, and engine overhauls.
- Defect Rectification: Identify, troubleshoot, and rectify mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical vehicle defects.
- Installation & Commissioning: Assist in the installation, testing, commissioning, or servicing of equipment at the workshop or customer/project sites.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support for general operational or functionality issues via remote guidance or on-site support.
- Reporting & Documentation: Prepare detailed field service reports after completing equipment servicing or repairs.
- Teamwork & Safety Compliance: Work closely with the Team Lead and Supervisors to execute designated tasks according to official workflows, safety protocols, and SOPs.
- Ad-hoc Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Requirements / Qualifications:
- Practical experience repairing heavy construction machinery (specifically excavators) alongside light and heavy commercial vehicles.
- Solid working knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, automotive transmissions, and electrical diagnostics.
- Ability to work both independently in workshop environments and on project/field sites.
- Valid driving license (e.g., Class 3/4, if required for site visits) is an advantage.
Additional Information:
- Working hours: Monday to Saturday, 8.00am to 5.00 pm
