About FutureChina Division
The FutureChina (FC) division monitors trends, analyses developments, and develops insights on China’s growth and its relations with Singapore and the wider region. The division leads the planning and delivery of Business China’s flagship event, the FutureChina Global Forum (FCGF). It is an international and bilingual forum that brings together business decision makers, senior policymakers, and industry experts from around the world to exchange insights on the emerging trends and forces shaping China’s development and its engagement with the region and beyond. The division also oversees the Business China Award, which recognises outstanding individuals and enterprises for their contributions to Singapore–China relations.
The FC division maintains a strong network across government and corporate stakeholders in Singapore and the region, delivering value through timely and relevant China insights. It also plans and executes high-level events and programmes involving Political Office Holders (POHs) and prominent business leaders.
Job Description
1. Lead the planning and execution of programmes, forums, and events involving POHs, government officials, and prominent business leaders
2. Drive business development, including the marketing and growth of FC programmes
3. Identify, cultivate, and secure strategic partnerships and sponsorships to support FC initiatives
4. Curate high-quality content and insights by engaging actively with government officials, academia, and business leaders
5. Develop and implement corporate membership strategies to strengthen engagement and value delivery
6. Review and refine existing FC programmes and propose new initiatives in alignment with Business China’s mission
7. Conceptualise and deliver overseas engagement initiatives that create value for Singapore-based companies, corporate members, and young professionals
8. Undertake other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director or CEO
Qualifications and Requirements
1. Preferably bilingual in both English and Mandarin
2. Any Bachelor’s Degree or Higher Degree
3. Prior working experience in policy, research, strategic planning, and/or events management
4. Interest in China and international relations
5. Experience in handling China-related matters will be advantageous. Prior knowledge about China is not a pre-requisite, but good to have.
6. Possess strong stakeholder management capabilities and project management skills
7. As this is a team lead role, experience in managing teams is preferred. However, this is not a pre-requisite
