Design Manager

Job Summary

Experienced in semiconductor and Front-End FAB design, responsible for overall design management and multidisciplinary integration across Process, Facilities, Architectural, Structural, MEP, Automation and Production Equipment. Lead design coordination, schedule, quality, cost and change management, ensuring designs meet Client requirements, process criteria, applicable regulations and constructability requirements, while enabling effective integration with procurement, construction and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

1. Overall FAB Design Management
   Lead and manage Front-End FAB design activities, ensuring alignment with Client requirements, process criteria, design standards and applicable regulations.
2. Multidisciplinary Design Integration
   Coordinate Process, Facilities, Architectural, Structural, MEP, Automation and Production Equipment disciplines to ensure effective integration of design interfaces.
3. Design Schedule & Deliverables
   Develop and monitor design schedules, milestones and deliverables to ensure alignment with the overall EPCK project schedule.
4. Interface & Technical Issue Management
   Identify, track and resolve design interfaces and technical issues among disciplines, Clients, Partners and Suppliers to minimize design conflicts.
5. Design Quality & Review
   Manage design quality and coordinate design reviews to ensure drawings, specifications and technical documents are complete, consistent and constructible.
6. Design Change Management
   Manage design changes and assess their impact on cost, schedule, space, construction and system interfaces, ensuring appropriate review and implementation.
7. Procurement, Construction & Commissioning Coordination
   Coordinate design interfaces with Procurement and Construction teams, including technical clarifications, Vendor Data, RFIs and site design issues, to ensure effective implementation through construction and commissioning.
8. Design Coordination & Follow-up
   Lead or participate in design coordination meetings, track design decisions and action items, and ensure all disciplines remain aligned with project objectives.

Requirements

• Proven experience in semiconductor and Front-End FAB design or engineering projects.
• Diploma / Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or a related discipline; relevant professional certification is an advantage.
• Experience in multidisciplinary design coordination, engineering drawing review and design interface management.
• Strong experience in design change management, project schedule tracking and vendor coordination.
• Familiar with Singapore construction practices and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Able to work independently and effectively with multidisciplinary project teams.
• Proficient in English and Chinese; additional language skills are an advantage.
• Relevant semiconductor manufacturing certifications are an advantage.
