Role Overview

The Account Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of enterprise and institutional clients after onboarding. You will serve as the primary commercial contact, ensuring clients maximize the value of MetaComp's products while identifying opportunities to expand business relationships.

This role combines relationship management, commercial growth, project coordination, and customer success. You will work closely with Sales, Product, Compliance, Operations, Finance, and Engineering teams to deliver seamless client experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of strategic corporate and institutional clients.
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with customers.
  • Understand each client's business objectives and payment workflows.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for commercial matters after client onboarding.
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction and long-term client retention.

Account Growth & Revenue Expansion

  • Identify opportunities to expand wallet share through additional products and services.
  • Promote MetaComp's payment, FX, digital asset, treasury, and API solutions.
  • Drive upsell and cross-sell initiatives.
  • Negotiate commercial terms within approved guidelines.
  • Renew commercial agreements and pricing arrangements.
  • Achieve quarterly and annual revenue growth targets.

Customer Success

  • Ensure successful client adoption of MetaComp's products.
  • Monitor client usage and proactively recommend improvements.
  • Coordinate issue resolution across Operations, Product, Compliance, and Engineering teams.
  • Escalate critical customer issues and ensure timely resolution.
  • Monitor account health and identify churn risks early.

Cross-functional Collaboration

Work closely with:

  • Product Management on feature requests
  • Compliance on onboarding and regulatory requirements
  • Operations on payment execution
  • Treasury & Finance on settlement matters
  • Engineering on API implementations
  • Customer Support on issue resolution

Act as the internal advocate for customer needs.

Commercial Strategy

  • Prepare account development plans.
  • Analyse customer payment volumes and business trends.
  • Identify new commercial opportunities.
  • Monitor competitors and industry developments.
  • Provide market feedback to Product and Leadership teams.

Reporting

Maintain accurate CRM records including:

  • Client activities
  • Revenue forecasts
  • Sales pipeline
  • Renewal dates
  • Account health metrics
  • Business opportunities

Prepare monthly account performance reports for management.

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a related discipline.

Experience

  • 3–6 years of Account Management, Customer Success, Relationship Management, or Business Development experience.
  • Experience in fintech, payments, banking, digital assets, financial services, or SaaS.
  • Experience managing enterprise or institutional customers.
  • Proven ability to grow existing customer accounts.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams.

Preferred experience in one or more of the following:

  • Cross-border payments
  • Payment gateways
  • Merchant acquiring
  • FX solutions
  • Digital assets
  • Stablecoins
  • Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS)
  • API products
  • Treasury products

Technical Knowledge

Understanding of:

  • Cross-border payment ecosystems
  • Payment APIs
  • SWIFT
  • Local payment rails
  • Multi-currency settlement
  • Merchant payments
  • Digital payment tokens
  • Stablecoins
  • AML/KYC considerations
  • CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce)
