Senior Software Engineer (Salesforce)

Job Description

Senior Salesforce Developer role focused on leading and guiding other developers while taking ownership of one or two modules or features within a larger solution. You will act as the technical go-to person for your module, reviewing code, mentoring team members, and building skills for solution-level leadership including stakeholder communication and reliable commitment management.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of one or two modules or features within a larger solution, acting as the technical go-to person for design, code quality, and delivery

• Conduct code reviews and provide technical direction for developers working within your module

• Manage your module's commitments and timelines reliably, flagging risks early and keeping deployments stable across environments

• Identify and propose improvements for your module, including addressing technical debt

• Configure, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines to streamline the development lifecycle, including test automation and deployments

• Conduct performance and security testing to assess scalability, responsiveness, and vulnerabilities

• Mentor less experienced developers and lead knowledge-sharing sessions or code review discussions

• Proactively raise concerns around code quality, team health, and non-functional requirements, not just within your own module

• Bring a point of view in solution and requirement discussions, offering trade-offs and presenting your work clearly to both technical and business stakeholders
  

Skills and Qualifications

Experience

• Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in delivering Salesforce solutions, with proven track record of successful implementations (Candidates with more years of experience will also be considered for a Lead title)

Certifications (Advantageous)

• Salesforce Certified Administrator

• Salesforce Certified Platform App

• Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I

• Salesforce Certified OmniStudio Developer

Technical Skills

• OmniStudio development experience: OmniScripts, FlexCards, Data Raptors, Integration Procedures

• DevOps, deployment management, and environment troubleshooting expertise

• Design and implementation of complex API integrations, Apex callouts, and multi-system data flows

• Ability to identify and resolve governor limits, security model, and performance issues proactively
